of the Company and its Main Objectives
HISTORY
Burn Standard Co.Ltd. (BSCL) was incorporated on 1.12.1976. The Company was formed by amalgamation of two Companies viz., Burn & Co.Ltd. and Indian Standard Wagon Co.Ltd. on 5th September,1976 through Burn & Co. and Indian Standard Wagon Company (Nationalisation) Act (97 of 1976) and all the rights, titles, interest and the liabilities were vested in the Central Government. The same was ultimately vested to the existing Burn Standard Co.Ltd. on 3.12.76. Burn & Co. was formed in 1781 and Indian Standard Wagon Co.Ltd. was floated by the management of Burn & Co. in 1918.
Main Objectives & Operations
1. To carry on manufacturing, trade and business carried on by erstwhile Burn & Co. and The
Indian Standard Wagon Co., Ltd.
2. To carry on manufacturing of heavy engineering items, heavy
Steel fabrication, Steel forgings, Refractories and related products.
3. To carry on large Turnkey Projects by its own or by
tie-up with other engineering company.
4. To manufacture well-head platforms, structures, pipeline component and other sub-components for Oil & Gas Industry both off-shore and on-shore.
